APPOINTEE SEND-OFF BREAKFAST June 16, 2024
62 people gathered at Barnes Air National Guard Base on the morning of Father's Day to celebrate our new appointees and reconnect with cadet families. 9 appointees from CT and Western MA joined us, along with 3 current cadets. We learned about the year ahead and started friendships that will support families as they begin this unique experience. After breakfast, we went to he 131st Fighter Squadron for a briefing on the F-15C's capabilities, then out to the hangar to see the F-15 up close. This was Gretchen and Dave Halasi-Kun's final event as club presidents. Stephen Simko will be taking over as president.

The Simkos hosted us at their house for a summer gathering to catch up and hear how our basic cadets are doing.

We had lunch and a tour at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, MA to meet our new appointees and wish them well as they begin their USAFA journey. About 50 people attended to get to know the new families. We had lunch, shared advice for the year ahead, and toured the F-15C squadron.
CARE PACKAGE PARTY January 28, 2023
These were some impressive care packages we assembled at Gigi and Stephen Simko's house! 29 packages in total, filled with the items donated by our families, to include snacks, card games, candy, toothpaste, lip balm, and athletic shorts. Stephen fed us well and we enjoyed meeting some new families! The packages were dropped at the post office the following Monday. Thank you to all who showed up and to all who contributed items and money for shipping!

It was a fun night at Fresca Tequila Bar & Grill in Colchester, CT! Many families met each other for the first time and we caught up on what our cadets have been up this summer. Great food, great company - a successful night! And we didn't even know it was National Tequila Day when we chose the date and venue!

Twenty people came to our event at Sliders Grill & Bar in Berlin to watch AF beat Navy. Preppie parents, parents of current cadets, and families of graduates had a great time getting to know each other!
